We flew into FLL a day early on Saturday March 19th. Upon arrival rented a car and took a trip out to the Sawgrass Recreation Park in the Florida Everglades. This was about a 30 minute outside Fort Lauderdale. The air-boat ride was fun and informative. Afterward we had a nice seafood dinner at Kelly's Landing in Fort Lauderdale with family who live in the area. Spent the night at the Hawthorn Suites in Weston FL.

Used SAS Transportation from FLL to Port of Miami.

First view of all the ships in port was amazing. The Glory and Valor were docked right next to each other which made for a nice picture.

Embarkation:

Went very easy. A lot of people, but seemed organized and they moved people through security and check in rather quickly. We did each bring a bottle of wine and a 12 pack of soft drinks with no problems. We boarded the ship and went up t the lido deck and the Red Sail for lunch. It was very crowded obviously due to rooms not be ready until 1:30. Promptly at 1:30 everyone was allowed to to the staterooms. We had been upselled to a Ocean Suite on the Empress deck forward. The room was fantastic. due to celebrating a birthday as well as our 20th wedding anniversary while on board, our family and friends had arranged to have our room decorated which was a great surprise. We left the room decorated for the entire 7 days.

We went to the "secret deck" on the front of deck 7 for sail away. Only a small group here and this offered a great view of Miami as we departed.

Day 2: Sea Day

We had a Cruise Critic roll call "Meet and Greet" at the Cinni-bar lounge which was a nice way to meet a lot of the roll call members. Jorge our cruise director even stopped in to visit which was cool to talk with him {before he retires in a few weeks.} He was very funny as well as informative about the Glory and cruising in general. This night was the first Formal night.

Day 3:Cozumel

Did the Dolphin Swim, Ride and lunch through Carnival. Fantastic time

Day 4: Belize

Cave Tubing with cavetubing.bz

This was an awesome trip. Our guides Luis and Jose were the best. Highly recommend this company for cave tubing it was Un-Belizable :cool:

Day 5: Roatan

Zip N Dip with Victor Bodden

Another great excursion. Zip-line lining, monkey business and than snorkeling at the West End beach.

Day 6: Grand Cayman

Stingray City/Snorkeling and Island tour with Captain Marvin's

Formal night 2

Day 7; Day at Sea

We spent a good part of the day on the Serinty deck. It was a great place to relax away from kids. The deck had really cool round couches, hammocks and lots of places to sit in the sun or the shade.

It also had it's own bar area. We were told that there were 500 kids on board, but the crew on board did a great job at keeping them busy at all the camps that we really didin't notice them. It was also college spring break time, but everyone that we saw behaved themselves.

Disembarkation;

This went smoothly as well. We vacated our room around 8:30 and had breakfast at the Red Sail. We were off the ship by 9:30.

We rented a car a spent the day in Miami / Fort Lauderdale area. Stayed at the Double Tree Galleria One. Took a tour on the Water Taxi.

Flew out of FLL on Monday morning

Ship: :D

The ship was beautiful and huge.The public areas were nicely decorated and it was fun to explore the vast area of the ship.

Crew;

All we encountered were pleasant and helpful. All stopped and greeted you as you approached them. A unique part of this cruise is we had two captains. One started off and than the second took over in Cozumel as the first Captains contract was up and moved to another ship. Especially wanted to thank our cabin steward Muli, our maitre d' Chubby and Jorge our cruise director.

Dining and Food :

We had Any Time Dining in Golden Dining Room, which worked out well. We never waited more than 5 minutes and most of the time were seated right away. We ate by our selves a couple times but mostly sat with other cruisers at tables of 4 or 6. We met a great couple one night and ate with them the majority of the cruise. Food was very good and tried a variety of foods. Red Sail Buffet, Fish n Chips, Deli, Sushi, Mongolian, and the Creams coffee and dessert bar all were great. Do try the Emerald Steakhouse, it was a fantastic dining experience.

Shows;

Attended a lot of the shows which were all entertaining. Really liked Justin Illusion, Living in America and the Hypnotist show was really good. We were skeptical at first about the hypnotist, but this turned out to be a fun evening. Also attended some of the various comedy shows in the Ebony Lounge. This was nice way to cap off each evening.

Overall:

We hadn't been on a cruised in almost 12 years so this was a treat for sure. The ship, crew and excursions on this Western Caribbean route where all top notch. Not everything was perfect, but overall your are on vacation so have fun & enjoy yourself. We meet a lot of great people on board and on excursions. It was great meeting all the fellow roll call and cruise critic members.:)

Your going to love it! We're planning another one for next year with our girls. I can't wait for them to experience it too!

Remember that when your done packing your suitcase, take half your clothes out. I didn't use half of the clothes that I brought. Pack light and have a fantastic time!!:D
