cruzysuzy Posted April 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2011 DH and I are going to be in Charlottetown in June and will have the morning free from 9:00 to about noon. Does anyone have recommendations for the sites to see, places to shop for local items, etc, as we walk around town?
spirit rev Posted April 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2011 When we were in Charlottetown we walked up to Provence House and enjoyed some Canadian history. They have a movie about the first meeting to discuss confederation which took place in that building. There is also the cathedral across the street. If I remember right, it is about 3 - 4 blocks from the pier. A very easy walk. One thing I discovered in the shops near the pier - PEI potato chips - very good. Be careful of the packaging though. The same size bag that had "Ann of Green Gables" labels were about $1 more than the ones that didn't have label in another store.
