???? Big Movie screen outdoors?

Does Celebrity have the big movie screen out on the open deck like Princess does? Just wondering.....thinking about trying Celebrity and really like Movies Under The Stars.....

 

I am glad celebrity does not it was loud and annoying on the Caribbean princess in the day time. But the movie 1 night was nice to see

The idea of Movies Under The Stars is intriguing...if you want to spend an evening up on deck with a cozy blanket and a bag of popcorn it can be good. We even had a great time watching the SuperBowl a few years ago on the big screen. BUT, because Princess blasts movies and now concerts all day long it makes it impossible to relax or carry on a conversation when you are poolside. A quick trip to the alternate pool should give Princess a hint. It's so packed that on sea days you can't find a lounge. We always make note of our dislike at the end of every Princess cruise when we fill out our comment card on how irritating the volume of the daytime movies/concerts poolside are. After our 10 day cruise with them in January '11 and our 9th cruise with them we decided we wanted to enjoy the peace and beauty of our days at sea. Change is here...Celebrity we're coming!

We have taken about 20 cruises, on most of the cruise lines and are down to X and

Princess as our favorites. Given a choice between the two and all things being equal

ie; price, itinerary and date we would book with Prinesss, principally because of the

movies under the stars (and Princess has the best fettucine alfredo, of course.) Having

said that, we have booked 14 day cruises with Celebrity for January 2012 and 2013.

 

If you are bashing MUTS because you think you would not like it maybe you need to

give it a chance.

Was excited that the Caribbean Princess had MUTS! Enjoyed it watching a football game one night. During the day it was loud and distracting. Might be a nice feature for some, but not a selling point for us. Luckily the ship had alternate outside pools. Did not miss it on my Celebrity cruises. On our next Princess cruise will also avoid it.

No they do not... and I thank god they do not cuz it's the most annoying thing when u go on cruise to get away from city to relax and do WHAT you want and have a pleasure quiet time relaxing by the pool and other things. If u want to watch movie... go to ur room. Celebrity will not lower its level to meet princess or carnival's level.
