specialdogchild Posted September 6, 2011 #26 Share Posted September 6, 2011 We are doing Marc's in January 2012. Hope it's as good as you all say!
Rare Kinkacruiser Posted September 6, 2011 #27 Share Posted September 6, 2011 Our cruise won't take us to Huahine (and Marc's tour) so I'm hoping Patrick's lagoon tour + motu picnic on Bora Bora will be just as enjoyable. Can anyone comment on this comparison?

Can anyone comment on this comparison? I think you will love Patrick's tour. I did the snorkel tour with Motu Picnic (may be the same tour) and it was outstanding in fact my favorite of the entire cruise.
Toto2Kansas Posted September 7, 2011 #29 Share Posted September 7, 2011 Our cruise won't take us to Huahine (and Marc's tour) so I'm hoping Patrick's lagoon tour + motu picnic on Bora Bora will be just as enjoyable. Can anyone comment on this comparison? Patricks is the best of the best and Marc comes in a very close second. We liked Patricks motu better, and the water is much more shallow at Patrick's Motu then on Marc's. We took them both this past February..........and I give Patrick an edge by just a little bit, as we always felt his food and it's presentation was top notch and always the best. But you can't go wrong with either one. :)
PINEY10 Posted November 10, 2011 #30 Share Posted November 10, 2011 We took Marc's full day tour when we recently visited Huahine on the Paul Gauguin (10 day cruise). This was our first excursion while on the boat. We had Armando but met Marc at the pier. This was the best excursion on the entire trip! We did Patrick on Bora Bora and he did not even come in at a close second (we had his cousin who was unimpressive to say the least). Marc and Armando set a very high standard for the rest of the cruise which was not matched. We did do the Blue Lagoon tour in Fakarava which was a closer second. Armando provided us such a great overview of the island and truly was the host with the most! He is so proud of where he is from and his enthusiasm exuded throughout the tour. Also the lunch was far better than what we got on the motu with Patrick. We had some of the best poisson crui for our entire trip to French Polynesia. We actually thought Huahine with all of its natural beauty and less commercialism than the others, particularly Bora Bora, was parobably our favorite of all the islands. THe islands are all gorgeous and I have never seen anything quite like FP, but Huahine is a tightly held treasure! I would recommend Marc's tour highly
Skai Posted November 11, 2011 #31 Share Posted November 11, 2011 We had Armando. Quite a character "Armando" is. I think I would agree with most everything that you stated above. Marc is a consummate host, and his tour is Grade AAA+++.
