Grand Princess still at the pier in FLL!

Wonder what's going on! The Grand was scheduled to sail at 5 PM today, the usual time. That time came and went, and the departure time was rescheduled to 7 PM, and then 7:30. However, she is still in port, and it is now almost 8 PM!

 

According the the guy at the Port Everglades webcam earlier, she was still loading "containers". But that was an hour ago, and she's still not moving.

She sailed at 8:10 pm. The sailing was a beautiful sight. We watched her on the webcam. Looking forward to sailing on the "new" Grand !

She is in Freeport this morning.

Aha! So that's why the lengthy loading process last night! I did not realize that she was heading out for drydock last night, and I see via the bridgecam this morning that she is in Freeport. Now I understand.

I doubt the bridge cam will show much, just the dock. Check out You Tube for the daily update from the ship itself.
