Private tour guide

We have just been informed that our bus tour (Trafalgar) has cancelled the scheduled tour that we booked for 5-14 through 5-22. We have reserved a van (party of three) and we will do our own thing if all else fails. My wife would like to hire a private tour guide to southern England. We are especially interested in Roman Britain sites (Bath, Chedworth, etc).

 

Does anyone lurking on this board have any contacts that we might use to find a private guide? We can provide the transportation if necessary.
