maxwebr Posted April 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2011 Just wanted to find out if PG has Nitrox scuba capability on board or not? I am going for my cert on this and sounds like a better way to dive these days than using regular air.
FlightMedic555 Posted April 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2011 It was not available. You can dive with a land based shop if nitrox is a priority.
lunamomma Posted April 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2011 I asked this question of PG's divemasters and they do not have nitrox. However, when they use an outside operator, nitrox will be available. I'm guessing that nitrox will be available for about half of the dives. As the diving is not every day, I see it the lack of availabilty as less of an issue, but I would expect an operator of this calibre to offer it. BTW maxwebr, I'm not sure which cert you are going for, but you need a specific nitrox cert to dive nitrox (you probably know this). Cheers! maxwebr Posted April 12, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted April 12, 2011 thanks for all the replys. Yes, I am planning on getting my Nitrox cert before I go on this cruise. If they have the capability I would like to use it.
