mamagina Posted April 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Leaving on Sunday on the Princess Repo cruise from San Juan to NY. We stop in Bermuda on Thursday or Friday (I think). Will be able to go to the beach? Can we swim? It was over 80 degrees in NJ today! Is that a good sign? I'll do an accuweather check too. But just wondering if anyone has any info. Saw the reports on the Man o War jelly fish. Which beaches are considered North shore? The jelly fish seem to be at Horseshoe and Elbow (south) with reports of sightings at Tobacco Bay. Is that considered a North shore beach?
SailBadtheSinner Posted April 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2011 average air temp for April: 66.5°F average air temp for May: 72.3°F average sea temp (inshore) for April: 67.8°F average sea temp (inshore) for May: 74.3°F For the swimming at the beach, it all depends on what you are use to. Someone fron Florida might consider it too cold; from New England, just right. Anyway, you'll enjoy your visit to Bermuda and start planning your return so you can spend more time there; I'd bet on it. Horseshoe Beach and other nearby beaches are considered South Shore Beaches; Tobacco Bay would be considered North Shore. SBtS
