first time azamara: until when one's allowed to stay on the ship on debarkation day ?

Hi,

We're looking forward to our first azamara cruise ( Quest, 28 june )

as we heard a lot of good things about the staff and the food.

And as preparation , I did a lot of reading of the posts of cruisecritic :-)

However , I was wandering if anyone could help me with the following questions ( as I didn't find an answer )

Quest arrives at 05:00 am in Civitavecchia.

We plan to book a private transfer - probably ask for a pick-up at 09:00 am - to Rome ( where we'll be staying on ).

When checking in online, the following message appeared " suggested departure time 02 july : 11:00 AM "

1) Until when is one allowed to keep the cabin on disembarkation day ?

2) When is the earliest possible time to leave the ship ?

3) Until when is one allowed to stay at the ship ?

( PS I know that each cruise is different and that disembarkation time depends on the immigration procedure, ... so exact times are difficult to predict, I only like some guidelines )

Thank you all for your help !

kind regards,

ralf

When we disembarked in Singapore we were asked to vacate our cabins by 8am. We had a leisurely breakfast and then found a quiet place to read for a while. We asked for the latest time to disembark (9am) but we stayed until they politely asked all guests to leave (around 9:30am). So, while I was quietly sobbing :D my DH escorted me from the ship to catch a taxi to our hotel.

We disembarked in Rome and arrived at 5:30am. The earliest time we could get off was 6:30am if we were NOT carrying are own luggage.

If you were carrying your own luggage it was a bit earlier.

We left at 7am and we were in our transfer by 710am, it was the easiest, least stressful disembarkation I've ever had.

They were allowing people to stay in their cabin until 830am at the latest.

Hope this helps

The suggested departure time sounds like it is for a flight. They do not want you to book flight before 11:00AM.

Ralf, there may also be an option to pay a fee and stay onboard until @12.30 lunchtime. We were offered this in Dubai on the Quest. I think it was $40 per person, but that included lunch.

Your 9:00 pickup will be fine. You can leave your room at about eight and have a leisurely breakfast and leave the ship at 9:00. Leaving the ship is very quick. Walk off, collect your luggage which will be easy to find and away you go.
