kcwiak Posted May 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2011 Can anyone tell me if the cabins by the elevators are really bad for noise level? Wondering if the TA chose the wrong cabin...
ducklite Posted May 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2011 We were in 8032 on the Magic, steps from the mid ship elevator bank, and were never bothered by noise due to that proximity.
DISNEY FANTASY Posted May 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2011 Generally its not a problem but have had stuff taken off my door due to the location and the odd bell ring on the door, but nothnig to worry about.
teemsum Posted May 6, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2011 we were on the Magic in the Mexican riviera. I did find it noisy & also there were a lot of kids running around the elevators, riding in the elevators without adult supervision playing tag. MSGulfCoast Posted May 6, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2011 We were in 6028, and did not hear anything. The room was close to the elevators and very convenient.

ducklite Posted May 7, 2011 #7 Share Posted May 7, 2011 You can definitely call security or guest services if there are kids being disruptive. I've heard of a few times that DCL has actually put families off at the next port because of kids being over the top disruptive--or in one case, the kid that decided to jump off the ship while in port on a dare--although they tend to have a word with parents first to try to remedy the situation. My guess is that most parents keep their kids in line once the cruise line speaks with them about bad behavior.
