cruisetolearn Posted March 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2005 There have been some different posts about whether or not there is a charge for steam/sauna on the newer ships. I have two questions: 1. Are the steam/sauna facilities still separate for men/women or are they coed? 2. Is there are charge for the use of just steam/sauna? I realize the hydro-therapy pool is usually a fee-based luxury. Thanks.
Stapleton1 Posted March 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2005 Am taking my first HAL cruise next month. Would like to know if there is a charge for use of exercise equipment (treadmills, stairclimbers, etc.)
kruzkeen Posted March 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2005 I and others have asked this question in the past and received differing answers. If you do a seach on STEAM VISTA you will get serveral threads. On the Oosterdam last winter I was told by the Spa people that you had to pay for a simple shower, steam or sauna which many like after a work out. Another poster on the Westerdam said they did not have to. The gym is still free to use most of the machines but there is a charge for classes.
