sailawaykay Posted May 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2011 I was looking on the website for train schedule out of Livorno to Firenze SMN. There are direct trains with first class seating. Has anyone ever taken these? Most of what I have read on CC talks about changing trains in Pisa. Does anyone have experience or am I just not looking at the schedule correctly? Thanks in advance. ab0si Posted May 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2011 I think a lot of people stop off in Pisa to visit the Field of Miracles. There are direct trains leaving at 10 after the hour (most, not all hours). Some have first class seating, some do not. The real advantage of 1st class is that it is likely to be less crowded. The seat itself ain't much different.
euro cruiser Posted May 10, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2011 The trains from Livorno to Florence stop in Pisa, but there is no need to change trains. They are all regionals, it's just that some are slightly newer and offer a first class compartment.
