8 Ships in Cozumel!

Hi everyone!

 

If there are that many ships in port how would this affect your choice of shore excursion?

The most cruise ships I've seen docked in Coz was probably 5 and it didn't seem anymore crowded than the times I"ve been there with only 2 or 3 because the times are often staggered. Can they really hold 8 cruise ships at the same time? I'm wondering where they would all go.

Perhaps cruisett is incorrect. That seems like a lot of NCL ships in one port.

I've seen questionable info on cruisett before. But there are 3 places for multiple ships to dock, plus they tender in at Punta Langosta if there is no more room at the dock, so 8 doesn't seem odd at all. However, if you aren't just going to do the tourist shuffle along Melgar, Cozumel does a good job of absorbing a LOT of tourists.

If there were 8 ships in port and I wanted to go to a beach club I would make sure I had advance reservations.
