Lanyards

Recommended Posts

We also take the hole punch with us and one of us carries the card (something easily replaced or thrown away) we use to open the safe too. Just punch a hole in it and you are good for the whole cruise

That is a good idea..never thought of doing that. I bring a hold punch also to give to the Steward as a gift so he can make towel animal eyes easier.

We bring the hole punch and I punch them before we board the ship since my boys have lost their cards before we got to get on the ship. I know I should hang on to them, but they are so excited that they want to look at them. I now know to punch them, hook them onto their lanyards, then hand them over. It takes more effort to lose a lanyard!!!!! LOL

Seems like its much easier to go to the purser's desk when you board and its almost always still dead there.

Why wait for the gift shop or casino to open or bring more weight with you? I am evidently lazy.

We do the same. I don't consider it lazy, just on :rolleyes:vacation.

You can also get a free Carnival lanyard in the casino rather than taking your own. :)

But these often break (something about quality ). I've learned to bring along one of my own for practical reasons.

Hmmmm. I've never broken one. I must be participating in activities that are too tame. :D

I've always been able to find a staff member wandering around in the casino even though they aren't open yet. They've always been willing to do it, but I'll remember to check out Guest Services next time, too.

My family & I just wait until the Casino is open and get our free lanyard & have our S&S card hole punched & attached to it. The lanyard they give you (at least they did on the Dream last year) is a stretchy plastic coiled one. It's great & holds up well for the week. :)
