New to RCI question

If we have never sailed with RCI before, how difficult is it going to be to get reservations at the dining venues that require them? Do previous guests have priority when making reservations? Thanks for your help.

Make your ressie SAP. You should not be bumped by anyone who may have a higher status. Chops and Portofino are outstanding.

You can make the reservations on line or the first day you are on the ship.

I have pre-booked online, done it the first day on board and also if I just decided that day that I wanted to eat at one of the specialty restaurants. I have never had a problem getting a reservation as long as I can be a little flexible with the time and they bend over backwards to accommodate you.

Thanks for your help. We are considering a future RCI cruise. Our son saw the Oasis in St. Thomas last year and thought it would be fun to try. I don't know if we can afford it, but we will see ow it goes. Thanks for your comments.
