jmorgania Posted May 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2011 Cruising into St Johns on Carnival Glory in June. I have a group of 9 and we are interested in Saint Martins and the Bay of Fundy. Unfortunately for that many people excursions become very pricey. Is it possible or adviseable to rent a car or two and drive to Saint Martins and still have a good time and see all the sites? Anyone who has done this your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
maryann ns Posted May 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2011 To avoid confusion, take note that Saint John is in New Brunswick and St. John's is in Newfoundland. In fact that would be your best bet because you can go by the bay area several different times and see the tide rise and fall - as the tour company only stops once and the tide is whatever it is while you make about a one hr stop and you have nothing to compare the low and high tides which can be as much as 30 feet difference - the st martins area is not a very long drive and is very easy to find - there are several lighthouses and other things to see also G@ry
