euro cruiser Posted May 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2011 The Vatican Museums, which include the Sistine Chapel, will be closed but pretty much everything else will be open, including St. Peter's.
Rare StartrainDD Posted May 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2011 We are on this cruise with island diva. Anyone out there know if the trains and buses will be on a normal weekday schedule, or will service be curtailed due to the holiday? We were resigned to a formal tour due to port crowding, and then Celebrity changed our schedule. So now there is no port crowding, but it's a holiday:confused:. We would still like to do this on our own but know that in the U.S., we often have reduced transit on holidays. Anyone in the know about Rome? Thanks for you rhelp!
