Scuba and Snorkeling-Non-cruise

Hello all!

 

I've read through most of this board and tried searching, but I could not find a definitive answer to my question.

 

I will be in St. Thomas and St. John all next week on vacation. I am looking for a great place to Snorkel (I don't have my own equiptment) as well as a company who offers Scuba diving for first timers. Most of the tours on here are offered through cruise ships, but I am looking for something I can book on my own.

Check http://www.cokidive.com. They offer a "Discover Scuba" excursion for $60pp. They pick you up from the ship, provide training, a one tank dive at Coki Beach and than you can stay there and use their snorkel equipment the rest of the afternoon. We booked this for our upcoming cruise through Princess but plan on calling and booking directly with them because we will save $30pp.
