yoyocruiser Posted June 29, 2011 #27 Share Posted June 29, 2011 Over time I have noticed a lot of people on here say that they were able to tour the bridge as a result of the CC Meet and Greet. It is still not a guarantee--but it is usually the first or secodn day so if it doesn't come through you could then check about the $55 tour. I have been in a suite and attended a Meet and Greet and through neither of these was I ever given the opportunity to tour the bridge. The Behind the Scenes tour was provided on both of my previous cruises for the $55. I did not sign up. However, even then it seems it is not a guarantee that you will see the bridge. As an aside--on the 11th deck forward on the Jewel there was a small room and viewing area where you could just sit there and observe the bridge--for hours if you wanted. This room had some interesting maps, radar, and altogether an itneresting exhibit. The curtains are closed tot he bridge when approaching and leaving a port--but on a regualr sea day the curtains are open and it is very interesting to watch. I rarely ever saw anyone in there--but my husband and I went several times. I believe this same area would be o all the Jewel class ships--unsure about the Star, Sun, dawn and others. Linny13 Posted July 1, 2011 #28 Share Posted July 1, 2011 If you book a garden villa on the Star and ask for a tour, you WILL get a tour. Patrick WILL make it happen. I cannot wait to meet "Patrick" and to tour the bridge in August!!!! :D Thanks!!
Admin Posted July 1, 2011 #29 Share Posted July 1, 2011 During my Celebrity Summit cruise on June 5, Cruise Critic members were invited to a bridge tour and a galley tour. On the Pearl in May, Cruise Critic members were invited to a bridge tour as well. I'm not saying Cruise Critic is your in but it doesn't seem to hurt! ;)
