BristolGolfer Posted May 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2011 Quest, Sojourn, Odyssey Anyone been in the suites close to or opposite the elevators? We've been offered 522 on the Quest but have a small concern that it may be a little noisy. Any feedback appreciated.
markham Posted May 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2011 I had 520 on the Odyssey in Jan and Feb this year. There was no elevator noise whatsoever. Great location too!
LEESRE Posted May 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2011 Vance, When we were on Sojourn we had suite 913 which is right outside of the elevators and hall way and we heard not a thing. I am sure you will not have any noise.
BristolGolfer Posted May 27, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted May 27, 2011 Hi Markham & Leesre Thanks for your feedback .... appreciated. My only concern (being both fairly light sleepers) is...if I remember from our Sojourn World Cruise... was that when the elevator (lift) stopped at the deck level a bing bong sound effect would sound and a recorded voice would state the deck level. If saddos like us wanted an early night (unlikely I know) it would be a pain in the .... well you know. After 111 days on the Sojourn World Cruise we spent about 4 early nights!! Thanks again V & H

Thanks again V & H Have you not answered your own question here.If you are light sleepers, why choose a location that could be potentially annoying. Try to look for a suite with little foot traffic. Ofcourse you could be unlucky and have noisy door slamming, drawer bangers living next door.
BristolGolfer Posted May 28, 2011 Author #7 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Hi Lord.... Yes, would love our favourite suite (529) but that and others within that area are already booked....at the moment...522 is the ONLY one available on deck five. . Ah well we'll see what happens later. Thanks to all for feedback. V & H
