Cemetary Beach

Just off the Legend today, and I have to tell you, Cemetery Beach on Grand Cayman was our favorite stop (well, the snorkeling and then Margaritaville's). We took a local bus (only 2.50 U.S. per person - up .50 from two years ago). The driver dropped us off right in front, we walked along the access way, and set up under a sea grape tree. The snorkeling was FABULOUS about 100 yards out - but beware of the currents, they pulled us out quick, and struggled to get back. When we were ready to go, we just walked across the street, and within 2 minutes were on our way again.

TIP #1 - bring plenty of water and sunscreen (there is a store about 10 minute walk if you run out like we did)

Tip #2 - Please dry off well before getting in the bus (minivans) - my 9 year old still was wet, and we were chastised for that (but we quickly pulled out our beach towel, and all was well)

Tip #3 - leave time to buy liquor if you want some - the stores stop selling within 1 hour of sail :(

Good luck and have fun!!

Oh, after the snorkeling we did go to margaritavilles for the pool (my daughter LOVES the slide) - but whew- expensive! Over $100 for four drinks and 1 plate of nachos.

The drinks were $20 each? And the same for the nachos? Obscene!

Yes, but they were GOOD DRINKS ;) (with souvenir glass - we're suckers!) - it was fun (and then we spent more than that getting T-shirts, lol- but you Gotta Have the M-Tshirts, right?)
