Are there RCA outlets on the Century Stateroom TV's?

Hello everyone,

I'll be going on a cruise on the Celebrity Century on May 8th. My digital camera has the ability to hook up to a TV to review pictures via an RCA plug (which is the seperate red, white and yellow plugs).

Does anyone know if the TV's on this ship have a plug like that? If not, do they have a regular coaxial cable that I could attach an RCA adapter to?

Thanks in advance.

Natureboy88-just got off Horizon 4/12-4/24 cruise. I asked a similar question before leaving but not a soul answered (probably cuz they didn't know). Most of the tv's I saw (including ours) were older Phillips models. Not one anywhere had any type of input source. I wanted to hook up my portable DVD player but could not. I will be giving a review shortly and unfortunately it will not be a good one. The only good thing about this cruise was the service people--we left half way through the cruise in Aruba (day 6 of 12) and stayed there for 3 days then flew to St. Thomas and stayed there 3 days. But to answer your question I do not believe any of the tv's on any of the Celebrity ships have rca or any other type inputs. Hope your cruise goes better than ours--

Assuming that they have not been changed out, the Century is outfitted with Sony TVs which do have the standard RCA jacks which accept the banana style plugs. That is what we had in our cabin on the Century. We also had this on her sister ships, Galaxy and Mercury. I have a photo of the TV in our Mercury cabin which clearly shows the RCA plugs being connected to the front of the Sony TV:

Here is a better photo of our Sony TV in our cabin showing the RCA jacks being used on the front panel:

By the way, we had a Philips TV on the Infinity which did not have any RCA jacks but we were fortunate to have one of the few cabin categories blessed with a VCR (Toshiba) which had RCA jacks on the front panel.

I suspect all the Millennium class ships have TVs without RCA jacks with the possible exception of the suites.

John,
what on earth happened on your cruise?? We will be going on the Horizon for the same itinerary 11 months from now.....

Mahdnc--review forthcoming in a few days. Got to gather my thoughts and try to be objective enough to be fair. But I'm not happy and this will "probably" be my last Celebrity cruise. Look for review in a couple of days. John

On the Summit (3/26-4/5) the televisions in our room (8168) were very tired Philips models that had no rca jacks at all. Only one of the remote controls worked. I was surprised at the poor quality of the tv's. This is definitely an area that need updating.
