Toledo Cruiser Posted June 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2011 Have any CCer's gone on the Linblad Snake River cruise in the Oregon/Washington border area? Hubby & I are looking at it for the Fall of 2012.
Jon's Honey Posted June 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2011 I haven't taken this particular cruise but have traveled three times with Lindblad (Alaska, Galapagos, and Baja). It is absolutely the best in terms of nature cruising. The staff is outstanding, especially the naturalists. You will be pampered and the food will be excellent. However, Lindblad uses small expedition ships. The cabins are tiny and the bathrooms double as showers. If that doesn't bother you, you will have a fantastic trip. Bowie MeMe Posted September 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2011 Did not do Lindblatt but did the Queen of the West paddle wheeler on the Snake River. It was a very pretty and they found some nice local things to do and see. Low Key but Snake River is interesting.
Toledo Cruiser Posted September 26, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted September 26, 2011 Thanks for your comments! Probably Columbia River is a more accurate description of the trip. We're looking forward to trying Lindblad in the US, before venturing to Antarticia with them :).
hrprof Posted September 30, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2011 Have been to Lewis and Clark and the Antarctic with Lindblad - both were outstanding. Bear in mind that the NG Explorer that does the Antarctic is vastly more spacious than the NG/Sea Lion and Sea Bird!
Toledo Cruiser Posted October 1, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted October 1, 2011 Thank you for your reply. I'll keep in mind the differences in the ships. Would you like to share any impressions or must dos of these two cruises, or the Oregon area? We hope to spend a few days along the Oregon coast post-cruise.
