camper49 Posted June 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2011 Has anyone booked with this offer? And if so, were you eligible for any other "perks/offers" from the Players Club???
parrothead74 Posted June 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2011 We booked a 4 day on the Sensation, even after adding the insurance, the discounted price was still less expensive than the listed early saver price. In addition I have $100 casino cash and my wife has $75 casino cash on board. We booked an ocean view cabin, but I imagine if we went for a 7 day balcony then we probably could have gotten more... okwriter Posted June 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2011 I'm hoping for another one of those offers in the mail. I do know that the rates are better than Early Saver rates and you can get a discount on any cruises already booked if your cabin category is still available. The terms are also better than booking Early Saver because you can reschedule once booked. At least that's what my PVP told me. :)

Was able to get the price adjusted..$80..which i am happy with because we already had what we feel is a good rate. Add the casino cash to the deal and can't complain !!! PA Dutchman Posted June 9, 2011 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2011 Just pay attention to the up to 25% off, they only want to give 10% so you have to do a moan dance to try to get what you can. Depends what Ship, cabin and what week you book.

I am curious about this also. I booked with the discount and will receive cash from the players club once onboard but am not sure if you can contact them before cruising to receive any other goodies. MRVEGAS711 Posted June 9, 2011 #9 Share Posted June 9, 2011 I'm using one in 3 days. Best possible deal on the Imagination with cash certificate as well. Let me mind you that these are not free! Some decent gambling going on.

mistycruiser Posted June 9, 2011 #11 Share Posted June 9, 2011 My DH and I booked using the offer and got the reduced rate ($609 pp) on an Aft Extn'd (not wrap) for a 7 day on the Liberty in Nov.. Also got the coupons, $100 for him, $75 for me. We'll use those on the Liberty cruise. Previously we got coupons and used on our Spirit Cruise to Alaska in May but we didn't book under the offer code that time. Probably should have but I didn't ask, oh well. We also contacted the players club before the May cruise and received the Gift basket in the room with bottle of wine, fruit, nuts, cheeses etc. Plus 2 bottles of water and a coupon for pictures plus $75 for me from the casino in addition to previous coupons we both had. So be sure and contact the players club in advance of your cruise and they'll let you know what goodies to expect on the cruise.

We took advantage of this offer on our past May 8th cruise on the Splendor. All other amenities were also available and offered. mistycruiser Posted June 10, 2011 #14 Share Posted June 10, 2011 I think I called them about 2 months before our May cruise. On the letter you get from the players club it has your player's number on it. So they'll look up your past history and provide goodies based on your previous play. We're on the 11-5 sailing of the Liberty. Maybe we'll be neighbors. :D
rickcop44 Posted June 10, 2011 #15 Share Posted June 10, 2011 I got one of those in the mail about a day before I was going to book the Dream. An extra benefit, I thought. But when I booked to cruise, my PVP gave me a better price with early saver on an extended balcony cabin than I could get with the 25% off. Then, within a week after I booked, I got an e-mail from OPC telling me they would be crediting my casino account with $75 plus I would be getting the premium bon voyage gift delivered to my cabin. Now, how they knew about my booked cruise before I notifed them is a mystery to me, but who cares. I'm already up $75 before I even set foot in the casino! JennLuvs2Cruise Posted June 10, 2011 #18 Share Posted June 10, 2011 I got this offer months ago in the mail for my fiancé & a separate one for my mom. We already booked our cruise but still managed to get it applied to our bookings (it was before final payment was due). So we got 25% off on two bookings, plus I called the Ocean Player's Club and my fiancé, aunt & mom all qualified for Bon Voyage gifts. Plus my mom and fiancé will be getting $75 each in casino cash. Not a bad deal if you ask me! :D

Depends what Ship, cabin and what week you book. Yes, PA Dutchman is correct. I checked rates for several different sail dates and couldn't find a single sailing where the 25% actually applied. All of the dates I asked about showed about 10% off, and the discount didn't apply to all rate types. When I asked the representative to give me any sail date where the 25% off would apply, she said she didn't know of any. I think that promotion was a scam. I'm not sure what qualifies for the 25% off rate, I never bothered to question it since we received it. But apparently my June 18th sailing on board the Dream qualified :)
