Thanks for all the info. I am soo excited. I have 45 days + hours before our first cruise!

I have seen a post or two from others that will be on the same cruise!!

Anyone have important info that I should know...please please please let me know. I am traveling with husband, son and daughter (17 & 13). Along with a couple sisters and family)

Not sure about what excursions to book. Shows have been taken care of.

Thanks for the great review and it's inspiring to see a fellow solo cruiser, especially a fellow Torontonian. For the record, I've been sailing in the Mediterranean (I'm biased towards European travel), so it's good to read up on your reviews for Caribbean cruises.

Thanks for the tips!

You never know, I might bump into you on a Caribbean cruise in the new future!

Great review newbcruiser! I'll be on the Allure around the same time this year (June 3rd) western. Do you recall about how hot exactly it was? Low 80s or hotter? Also do you recall what the demographics were like? Lots of Americans/internationals, lots of kids, etc?

I believe the temperature was around the mid to high 80's but it felt much warmer with the humidity and minimal wind.

The cruise definitely had a lot of kids onboard, but you'll get that with any ship targeted toward families (especially those with the Dreamworks experiences) even during the school season.

There was also a big mix of guests from different countries from what I remember, and that's been pretty consistent as well across all of my cruises.

ugh that's hot! Oh well I'll make the best of it. I don't remember it being that hot in early July on Eastern itinerary when I went in 2004...but I could be wrong.
