mathdad Posted July 12, 2011 #76 Share Posted July 12, 2011 We had our meet and greet on June 3rd Magic sailing. The 2:30 time worked well for us as the itinerary was very port intensive. It was held in the Red Frog Pub and approx 100 attended. It was also announced in the Fun Times. It was great meeting everyone on the roll call. Let me know where the meeting place is on the Jan 29, 2012 place for the Pride. I would like to meet the Buccaneers.
richfret Posted July 12, 2011 #77 Share Posted July 12, 2011 Selecting the best time for the Meet & Greet is very difficult. I think it should be decided by a majorty vote of the roll call. If you don't play Bingo, or play in the Casino Tournaments, or don't care about attending the inital Cruise Introduction with the Cruise Director, or on and on, then any time is good. Another problem problem is you won't know what you are missing until you get your copy of the Fun Times the night before the first sea day. Personally I like embarkation day at 2:30 pm. Every one is suppose to be on board by that time any way. If you select a flight in at about that time, you got to be gutsy and it better be Carnival selected. As I said, however, majority rules and I would abide by that decision although I might also miss the Meet & Greet depending on conflicting activities. Now this is the sign of a good cruise when you have to choose between two very good activities taking place at the same time. Been there and done that. wasiii Posted July 12, 2011 #78 Share Posted July 12, 2011 .....we will have a M&G (unofficial) a 1/2 hour after Muster, hopefully the Miracle will have the CC sponsored M&G on the 1st Sea Day and then we will have a Cocktail Party on the 2nd Sea Day. We have @ 30 people attending that one. :D wasiii
ccruisequeen Posted July 12, 2011 #79 Share Posted July 12, 2011 Just posted this thread to both of my up-coming cruises ROLL CALLS-- even if nothing happens, it may spark some conversation!
shonandsuzie Posted July 12, 2011 #80 Share Posted July 12, 2011 Is there some way that you have to sign up in advance or something? I remember doing that for our Royal Caribbean Cruise Critic Meet and Mingles. Also, our roll call has set up a 2 hour cocktail party on our upcoming Miracle cruise so I am wondering if they know we are a cruise critic group and will just combine the two. Ours is scheduled from 2:30-4:30 on the first Sea Day. I guess I better check into that.
nfy1227 Posted July 15, 2011 #81 Share Posted July 15, 2011 Most of the people I have talked with prefer the day of embarkation - but we will have two.... so its all good. We had one group that met and had such a great time we all changed our dining assignments so we could have dinner together! Now if you met the first sea day, that would not have happened. We are cruising with one of those couples in November. Hi Sparks, this is a suggestion you can also make on our board
