Dec. 10-16 St. Thomas to San Juan

We did it! We're signed up for our first SeaDream cruise!!! Anyone else joining us? I have a question: Loving sports and nature more than food and restaurants, I can see us heading to a beach or out on a hike or bike with a picnic lunch. Is it okay to ask for a packed lunch or is that considered gauche? Thanks for any tips you can give me.

You will have fun with that itinerary. We are looking in that time frame along with Cammiem and her hubby. Still need a thing or two to fall into place. Who knows? Might see you on board. All the best. :D

Of course its OK to ask for a picnic lunch.

 

However, at the beach you won't have the Seadream bartenders and waiters fawning over you with sunglass cleaning, fruit smoothies, ice cream sandwiches, and other goodies.

 

Our pattern has become going ashore for a few hours in the morning, coming back to the ship for lunch, and lounging on deck in the sun or shade for the rest of the afternoon. Or using the wave runners or swimming off the marina.
