its mid summer in Scotland , longest day so even more day light to watch the rain.

 

you may find the weather cold but our welcome is warm.

Very funny post...

 

We did a British Isles cruise a few years ago, and as the ship was coming back through the North Sea after leaving Norway, the wind and rain started howling. A cute British couple were out walking in their rain slickers and announced "it feels like home"!! We laughed! :)

Folks board in Southampton, hose pipe ban, drought, driest summer in many years , crops failing etc

 

you cruise for a few hundred miles north and we are having 125% times normal rain fall, floods, warning of land slips.

We had another 2 inches of rain in a few hours over night, along with all the rain we had yesterday,

 

that said once be get the border guards in place we can start selling water to all those that need it.

coming from 110 degree plus weather and single digit humidity, well, it is going to be a change! i might actually get to wear my slicker!! hmmmm, maybe even my galoshes!! (or as you might call them - rubbers!)

I wonder if the ship called on Belfast this trip given the unrest there?

having travelled all over the British Isles on land, I quite fancy travelling around the Isles by ship. You would see it from a different perspective.

Hmm, ask someone in the UK for a rubber and you will get either a pencil eraser, or directions to the nearest pharmacy.
