CUTTERSAM Posted June 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2011 I don't know if I feel like traveling with a few thousand cash, even in travelers chex to play in the casino...has anyone bought on board casino credit instead? Secondly, if heavens forbid you need to cancel your trip, is it a pain to get the refund? Thanks in advance.

You can open a Line of Credit with the casino, but that entails credit checks, applications, etc. I have bought casino credit in the past, and have now been told that the certificates are limited to 1 per person. So I brought Traveller's Cheques. Copied the numbers into a spreadsheet which was backed-up at home, then left the Receipts in my safe at home. No issues whatsoever (other than the casino taking the money away from me over the course of the cruise)..... You can also draw-down up to $2k / day per credit card, upon payment of a 3% service charge. This can be done right at the table if playing table games, or at the cashier cage. .
