Intercontinental Hotel - San Juan

Has anyone stayed at this hotel in San Juan and is it nice, within walking distance of shops and eateries etc.? Doesnt look far from the cruise termintal either; We are staying here before our cruise and their website looks nice.

We've stayed at the Intercontinental 3 times and it's a really nice hotel (pricey though, but you probably already know that). A good restaurant within walking distance is the Metropole. Very good food (we've taken friends there a couple of times and everyone has enjoyed their meal) and casual dress. There is some shopping within walking distance but I've never really paid much attention to what's there. It's a close cab ride to the cruise terminal also. Hope this helps a little.

We stayed at the Intercontinental last February and the hotel is very nice. Got in on priceline for $120.00. Pool area very nice and hotel

clean. Ate at restaurant/lounge in hotel and although a little pricey was

very good. They make a fabulous white wine sangria.:)
