Dive shop recommendations?

Looking for recommendations for dive shops in Roatan. Prefer smaller boats (or less people), not cattle boats. Would also prefer nitrox, but not necessary. I do not want to go thru the cruiseship tour. It would be nice if they provide transportation from the cruise ship pier, but if not, we can take a taxi. I'm just concerned about the taxi fare being ridiculous.

Either Bananarama or Barefoot Divers are good. The taxis will cost you $20 roundtrip to Barefoot Divers. Bananarama will pick you up, if there are four divers. Otherwise, you're probably looking at $20 each way (much further away from the ship).

I dove with them off a Celebrity cruise last year. I was "preapproved" to dive Mary's Place, and they ended up with no other divers but still sent the boat out with only me. It was an unbelievable day. What cruise are you on? I'm on Carnival Valor 8/21 cruise this year...

We're on the Dream 10/1/11. Barefoot looked great, but it sounds like we'll only be able to do 1 dive with them. I contacted them and they told me they do 1-tank dives at 8:30, 10:30 and 2. We arrive at 10AM EST (which I believe is 8AM local time) and have to back on the ship at 6PM EST (which should be 4PM local time). We'll be too late for the 8:30 dive and the 2:00 dive won't get us back to the ship in time. Hmmm.....that stinks.

Both times I've been there, the ship changed to local time. They're about 10 minutes away from the cruise terminal.
