Dawn - drink question

Since the Dawn is sailing out of Boston, do the bartenders know what a "Cape Codder" drink is, or should I just order a cosmo (not quite the same, but close enough)

Or.....you could just order a vodka and cranberry juice....they will understand that.

True, but there's been plenty of times I've ordered vodka&cranberry juice just for the bartender (on/off ships) to say 'sure, one cape codder on the way" or "here's your cosmo" that I figured I'd ask which way the ship crew might know the drink.

These guys and gals have heard of every drink you can think of, both for the U.S. and just about every other country. Just ask for your Cape Codder and you'll be happy.

Don't ask for a cosmo if you want a Cape Codder. They make a fairly proper cosmo on ship, which will have about double the vodka a Cape Codder has, and also orange liquor. A cosmo should be pink, a Cape Codder more red. Not to say that I haven't been served plenty of poorly ratioed cosmos that are bright red.

 

They will likely know a Cape Codder, particularly on the Dawn which serves a lot of Bostonians.
