Voyage of Discovery Cruises

Has anyone heard anything about them? they have cancelled the Jeddah stops in November and April, all the cruises fom November throuh to the end of April are showing totally full - no cabins available at all.

We did 42 days on her last year - Hong Kong to Capetown and loved every minute of the entire experience. (Except the rough passage down the Mozambique Straights which I hear is torture under any circumstances but when you are in the neigbhorhood, this comes with it). This is specialty cruising for the itinerary and enrichment first, typical cruise amenities take a second place.

It is a functional ship, not a glamourous one as the videos seem to portray. But, oh the places you will see with a great group of fellow passengers. Excellent shore excursions and top notch lectures. This is a ship for travelling; not necessarily "cruising".

I've gotten two emails from them in the past week advertising specials for the winter sailings, one down to $55 a day per person for Sydney back to London. Try calling their 800 number from the website (866-623-2689). Alma Colon, their agent, is great to work with.

Thank you for the information about MV Discovery. I saw the photographs of the cabin, which looks quite spacious but there weren't any others.
