Winning at the Casino-Have you??

Recommended Posts

On our Cruise on the Dream, I was waitint for my seat in the finals of the Black Jack tourny that started at 10:45pm, We did not have a lot to do after the show that night this was on the 2nd day of the cruise the first sea day, I do not play a ton of slots but I figured what the hell I am bored and have to wait anyway, I walked over and put a $20 in the penny slots and was not playing the max but in the middle I think like .75 per spin, I hit the game that lets you pick your way up to the Jackpot witch with my bet was $1554.00 I did not have a clue so I was randomly picking I figured I have a 50/50 shot of moving to the next level and so I did, LOL the more I learned and watched the play typically would have chickened out around $500 bucks or so I would not want to lose it. They took my ID and Pic and payed me, I went and played the BJ tourny and thought I was gonna win but damn lost by 200 on the last chip count. The next day we are at Sea again so around noon I went to play 3 card poker with some of my winnings and my wife gets bored and takes a $20 from me and sits at the machine next to the one I hit the night before and hits it for 1864.00 of course she rubbed it in that she out did me LOL. anyway we had a perfect cruise and spent way more then normal but all said and done we still came home +600. I look back now and think if I had won on the way home I would have come back with more but alas I spent it on fun times .. only part of it went back to the casino most to excursions and what not! Have a Blessed day!

We cruised the Conquest last September, my fiance loves card games, I do too but I also like the slots. The first night we sat down at the Blackjack table, and we both were playing, we couldn't loose, it was unbelieveable, we walked away that night with over $3000, the next night we went back and played some more, and won a little more, but nothing like the first night. Anyway, we were happy with the amount we won on the 1st night!....only problem was it was hard to stay out of there since we won so much, but we did! :D

I win and lose like any other casino.

3 years ago, my wife hits $1500 on our arrival to the casino the first day. (paid for the trip)

Last trip, down all trip the the last night hit $250 on slots to give me a sniff then won $500 on craps before they closed down the casino for the trip. I still was down some $400 for the trip, but I could breathe easier.

As a frequent gambler, I think Carnival casinos are on par with anywhere else.

I won over $2800 on a cruise playing Blackjack....have not come close to that amount since. But Carnival did buy the TV in my basement so everytime I watch it I think "Thanks Carnival"..........I kept going back to my cabin and placing chips in the safe....adding and subtracting as the days wore on......then the last night I cashed out what chips were left in the safe. So I really won over $3500-something but by the last night I came home with $2800 of Carnivals.

I love reading this thread!

There's that show on TLC about lottery winners. I'm terrible about buying lottery tickets, have been to the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa and lost the money I budgeted to gamble in 20 minutes.

While I don't normally win, the hope for a big win someday is just exhilirating!

A couple years ago I put $20 into a .25 machine on the first day of an 8 day cruise. I ended up playing all week on Carnivals dime plus came home with $550.

That was a fun week! :D

(PS...But overall I'm certain that I am down more than I am up! ;) )

In April on the Liberty I played the penny and nickle slots all week.

On my last night I had $50.00 left of my "gamberling money" on my S&S card. I decided to play $1.00 slots. I hit a few times and ended up walking our of the casino with $300.00 more than I started with at the beginning of the cruise :D

(I also won the $500.00 bingo the first night on my Ledgend cruise a few years ago)

Most I won was 250, but my dentist won 18,000 on his first cruise (after I talked him into going, but there was no finder fee, darn it.) all on slots.

Well..he should have at least given you a discount on your next visit! :D
