This may interest some:

From what l am reading and recieving from many sorces, The luxury segment of the cruise industry is now feeling very stressed and under great presure.

The Lux industry's attempts to maintain pre GFC pricing and instead boost TA commissions, plus value adding ie OBC, Air credits, Pre and post hotels, transfers ect are quickly running out of consumer favor. Which is now firmly price-point driven.

With over supply and a resistance to correct pricing to the current economic conditions, which have been predicted to remain at present levels for the medium term. The luxury segment now has little room to move.

Mainstream cruising is already well into re-adjusting pricing levels to reflect market conditions. The Lux segment is fighting tooth and nail to resist and are taking a hit to forward bookings.

I now think it is only a matter of time for the first LUX brand to take the lead on lead in pricing and the others will follow quickly.

Does anyone else have an opinion?

The five dates offer a 10% single supplement on a Vista Suite and 25% on a Veranda Suite ...
That was the way it used to be on many voyages more than five years ago. We never used single supplements (being one couple of cats), but vaguely remember that in the "olden" days, most voyages started out with that level of single supplement, and worked their way up to 100% (so called "200%") as the ship filled up. Back then, the single supplement was a vague indication of how well a voyage was selling.
