JimandStan Posted July 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Tried unsuccessfully to search for some information on transferring from the port in Miami to MIA. Has anyone done this and if so can you supply some links for me to research? Thanks It's such a short, easy transfer (20 mins by car), that I would suggest that you just take a cab and save yourself the effort ;) Taking a "service" would save you any time or a significant amount of money. carlo7 Posted July 8, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Thank you all for the tips. Even a cab at $25 is so much more reasonable than the $118 OC (for 2 pax) added to my invoice for the transfer.
wripro Posted July 9, 2011 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2011 Can't imagine why anyone would pay any cruise line's charge to transfer to an airport.
carlo7 Posted July 10, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted July 10, 2011 It took me 2 weeks to finally figure out how to look at the invoice Sacha from OC sent me via e-mail. When I saw the charge for the transfer I was somewhat surprised since she had not mentioned it during our conversation when I made the reservation for the cruise. When I called and mentioned the $118 extra she immediately said she would remove it and send me a revised invoice. I think it is a profit generator for them and they are accustomed to removing it even before they are asked. For those who fail to see it or want the service they make a few dollars more.
