Megans Bay or Sapphire

My 3 teen boys loved the snorkeling and swimming at Sapphire. Put 'sapphire' in the search this forum bar and lots of recent threads should come up.

The nice part about the snorkeling was that you didn't have to go far; my husband walked into the water and was surrounded by angel fish. There are also sandy bottoms areas if you just want to swim.

My kids also liked watching the iguanas and ducks that were walking around.

Magen's will be more crowded too (definitely look up how many ships will be in port with you - 3 or more and I would NOT go!).. NO snorkeling at Magen's either. Magen's beach is beautiful, but we preferred Sapphire. Although I can't remember there being any "activities" for the kids at Sapphire.

Prefer Sapphire....just as beautiful as MB- cheaper and it has the reef close to shore....

11$ per person taxi fare each way.....from Crown Bay.....no admission fee

Meghans Bay was more (about 14$) in 2009 and then the admission fee was 4$ per adult....

emerald beach taxi was 4$ in 2010 from Crown Bay....
