gambler Posted March 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2005 We were thinking of doing the luau at the Hilton Waikoloa Village since we are staying there. Is that ok or is there a better one? The only one we have done before was Paradise Cove, Thanks

SweetEmi Posted March 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2005 Oh...a land trip, Gambler? Then you have more options...I've only been to two touristy type luaus here on the Big Island and the first one was at King Kamehameha and the other one was at Keauhou Beach. I don't even know if the Keauhou one is still going on. I didn't eat there either because I was there checking it out as my friend was one of the musicians. That said...they were both okay, I liked the Keauhou one for more realistic local things going on. What I really, really, really enjoyed was the Clam Bake at the Mauna Lani - not sure when they do it but try to make it there if you can. gambler Posted March 28, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted March 28, 2005 Thanks for the info. Hubby travels a lot so we rack up those airline and hotel miles. 2 years ago, we did 6 nights on Ohau and 3 on the Big Island just to see the Volcanoe. We just did not have enough time on the Big Island, so this time we are doing 8 nights on the Big Island. Looking for good black sand beaches also.
