Ports of call

BUDGIE BIRD

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Going on a cruise in August on Island Escape. Been on ship before and although it is not up to the standard of MSC ships we enjoyed our time onboard.

Ports of call are PALMA, TANGIER, CASABLANCA, GIBRALTER, ALMERIA, CARTEGENA, PROPRIANO, CIVITAVECCHIA, LIVORNO, CANNES, MAHON. Can anyone tell me if any of the ports of call are within easy access of the local towns and if it is possible to do any of the excursions under your own steam. Any help and guidance would be appreciated.

Hi Budgie bird,

Can help on PALMA, PROPRIANO, CIVITAVECCHIA, LIVORNO, CANNES, MAHON.

All doable on your own, but as for the others not been to,

Cannes is a tender (5mins)

Propriano small town 1 street.

All the others are either bus or walking distance to port

TANGIER, did the trip via the thomson rep

CASABLANCA, as above you can get a shuttle bus to the town for £4.00 per person as it was a 45 min walk

GIBRALTER, can do your self - tour operators at the port and cheaper via thomson rep's

ALMERIA, everything closed - Sunday - went on the wee 'noddy bus' lasted about 1 hour and 5 euros each

CARTEGENA can do yourself
