advice to mom traveling with toddler

Only Disney is willing to constantly change out the water and have non potty trained infants in their baby pool.

 

Why do you want one by camp carnival?

 

Carnival already encourages families a lot .. they dont really need to encourage babies.

i know carnival does a lot for families, but it is hard for parents with babies to stay on the ship on "at sea" days and not be able to take a dip with their little ones, i understand why, and we are choosing to cruise regardless, i just thought a small pool by camp carnival would be easy and we would be up there some playing with toys and such and it could be stored up there, i guess it could be placed anywhere though.

sure have a pool by camp carnival for babies and toddlers to use. It will keep them out of the regular pools.

Iv seen pictures of some kind of little duck pool that is very small babies can splash in that some parents set up on Lido.

 

Bringing a pool you would need it to be near a source of water.

 

The pool parents bring is good in the shower to bath baby or out on a balcony.

Actually, Im willing to be Carnival has done studies and looked at the spending habits of those with babies, just like they did for solo cruises, when they decided to stop the 150% to encourage solo cruising.

 

Most of the fares are below what it takes to break even on the cruise, they have to sell so much onboard, like booze and in the casino and in the shops.

 

If families with babies were spending a lot onboard, you can bet Carnival would want to encourage them...they dont... which is telling.

Good idea, im not too worried about it though, we will have fun with or without the pool.

Some people take those little "yellow ducky" bathtubs...or a little blow up pool...and fill it....put it out of the walkway....

the staff will probably help you empty it down an appropriate drain

(ask...tip....ask...tip...don't just try to dump it yourself JMO)

 

I have seen this and don't mind

 

I do mind the idea of a NON potty trained baby in a pool or god forbid a hot tub

I know some ships have the water works thingy, when I was on the Imagination 3 years ago it had one, if I remember correctly(sometimes I cannot remember what happend 10 minutes ago lol) there was a splash zone where the water was shooting up, I think toddlers where in it,(but don't quote me on that)

Don't know what ship you are going on but you might want to check and see if your ship has this.

I'm not much help then. On the Fantasy class ships they have a Waterworks area with little slides, dump buckets, and sprays. I would take as others have mentioned the little blow up pools.

Since that is the case, I don't see the harm in Camp Carnival providing a pool for toddler only use if parents want it. If everyone putting their toddlers in it signs off a waiver denouncing liability if their little one picks up a fecal borne illness, what is the big deal.

Conquest only has the big slide, not waterworks, no splash zone for those speculating. I dont think a non potty trained baby is supposed to be in the splash zone either though... but havent checked the rules. In this case we know there is none, so it doesnt matter.
