cb at sea Posted July 19, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Bring any and all "comfort" items...special toys, blankets, etc...that your child requires. Bring all the diapers and hygiene items you might need. Bring PLENTY of sunscreen. If your child isn't potty-trained and the ship doesn't have a "splash pool" for the undiapered ones, bring a "duck tub" so your child can get wet on the pool deck (and it will double as a tub in your shower.) Book at least a balcony, so you'll have someplace "to be" while your child naps or goes to bed early. Relax....it's a family vacation. It won't be the same as cruising as a couple, but you're no longer a "couple"...you're a family! Enjoy!
DALSAL Posted July 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2011 Maybe consider a small blow up pool. We took one for our granddaughter(10 months), put it on the balcony, and she had so much fun!!! The first two days were awesome, and then she came down with a very high fever! We were so very fortunate and grateful that there happen to be TWO pediatric doctors in the infirmary. They were so awesome with her, and so very good to us. She was quite ill and they came in to check on her in their off duty time. Her fever finally broke late Saturday night, and when we got home, found out she had Roseola. Take any and all meds she/he takes at home from time to time, because you might not be able to find them on the ship. We were on the Conquest, and I cant say enough good things about them!
