bigpaluka Posted July 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2011 What is the best way to get a group of 8 from train station to the Viking dock? I understand it is quite some distance. Thanks

travelteach326 Posted August 2, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 2, 2011 We - a group of 13 arrived in Basel station and needed to get to the Uniworld port. We asked for a price from taxi drivers and were quoted 35 chf. The taxis were very small - wouldn't have fit more than two passengers with luggage. I then went into the tourist office which is located in the train station and got directions for the tram. The tourist office gave us a map and told us precise directions. The ticket machine is right next to tram stops. We took the tram. Them all 13 of us walked from the tram stop - about three blocks to the ship. It really wasn't a bad transfer for us to take.
