cala8 Posted July 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2011 Hello All I really enjoy reading all the posts and reviews.I have gathered a lot of information. We will be leaving on the Magic out of Barcelona September 25th.I did read about tipping with euro's in the ports and I agree that is the way to go,question is about waiters and stewards aboard the ship, especially room service.Euro's or Dollars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank You
SadieN Posted July 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2011 If you keep the auto tip in place you don't need to worry about those tips. Extra tips can be given in USD or Euros. Since you are cruising in Europe the euros can be used immediately by the crew. Though I doubt they will refuse a greenback. Caveat- the smallest Euro bill is a e5. Everything else is heavy coinage. Havingfun2010 Posted July 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2011 The ship's crew is most likely neither from Europe, or from USA, so either one is fine, because they have a way of taking care of it. However, if the ship leaves Europe, than Euros would be better.
