Irish1978 Posted July 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2011 Most places will be open...Guinness Storehouse opens at 0930 on Sunday, Dublinia opens at 0930/1000 depending on the time of year, hoho operate from 0900 with live commentary from 0930, Book of Kells is open from 0930 except on bank holidays,Bewleys Cafe will be open from 0900...I think you get the idea ;) Being here on a Sunday will actaully be of great benefit as there will be a lot less traffic on the roads and you will get around much quicker, the city will be quiet up to about 1200 as most Dubliners tend to have a lie in and a read of the papers before going about their business! cruisingrus Posted July 28, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2011 I will be in Dublin soon on a Sunday, August 7th. This is the only port we didn't book a tour. Does it rain there this time of year and is it cold?
Rare VMax1700 Posted July 29, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2011 I will be in Dublin soon on a Sunday, August 7th. This is the only port we didn't book a tour. Does it rain there this time of year and is it cold? Chances of rain in August are about 50/50. Even if it doesn't look like rain in the morning it could rain in the afternoon. It helps keep the grass green:D Cold is relative. today is a nice warm 19C that 64 to you. To us its warm, to you its........? In August we can get days in the mid 70's and days in the mid 60's (and some days it both!) They call it a 'temperate climate' ha!
