Rare Lois R Posted July 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2011 I'm sailing in November and wondering what selections I might have in QSine & Bistro on 5 as a vegetarian. Are the options very limited? Thanks Hi, :)I can't remember everything offered in Qsine but I do know you will be able to find some vegetarian dishes. Actually, one of the items is called the M's....and for the life of me I don't even remember why it is called that BUT I do know it looked a large shadow box with cubby holes...(only way I can think of to describe it) inside each cubby has a different food. Click on this link....Kathy has some wonderful pictures and the one thing I am trying to describe fo you is on there:D the pictures are on page 2 of the thread. There are some pictues with meat in them so skip over those. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1425703&highlight=qsine+menu Oh, as for Bistro on 5? You can definitely get some veggie crepes:)
QueenDido Posted July 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2011 I can't speak to QSine, but I ate at Bistro on 5 a few times when I was aboard Solstice earlier this year. My friend (and traveling companion) is a vegetarian and she definitely had options to choose from. The vegetarian crepes were delicious!

There will be several options for you and I think they will happily make some changes if you request them.

I think "M" is the first initial of Jaque's (exec chef's) daughter and they are some of her favorites.
CathyCruises Posted July 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2011 And I am doubly wrong because in rereading this I remember that it is M's Favorites! But it all has a Mediterranean base which migth be why I thought that--hummus, lamb, etc.
Rare Lois R Posted July 28, 2011 #7 Share Posted July 28, 2011 Whatever the reason.....it is delicious.:) Hummus (and I love lamb and these chops were fabulous:D) but that doesn't help the OP. They also had an Olive Tampande dish...YUM! Cathy, I do think quite a few of the dishes were Mediterranian and I loved them:)
kk99 Posted July 28, 2011 #8 Share Posted July 28, 2011 Hi, I'm a vegetarian also, and no problems with either place. At Bistro on 5, you can get a side salad, dessert crepes, and also they had a vegetable crepe, or an egg dish. At Qsine, salads, a "jatour" of vegetables fried or otherwise, the mediterranean items like hummus, tabouli etc., great fries, and I had no room for desserts. When we ate in Murano's in June they also had a specific vegetarian option for the entree, along with salads, goat cheese souflle and vegetables. Never a problem to find plenty of things I wanted to eat. Kelcie
GoldenRose Posted July 28, 2011 #9 Share Posted July 28, 2011 We did both Bistro and Qsine with someone who was basically a vegetarian (she'll eat fish and chicken very occasionally, but not even those often.) She loved both, and I know she felt like she had enough options and variety to really enjoy the meal. She was not willing to go to the other specialty restaurants because she didn't feel like she had many choices there.
craftymom914 Posted July 29, 2011 #10 Share Posted July 29, 2011 I am glad I found this thread. My family, which includes 2 vegetarians, are traveling on the Eclipse in December. We are planning on doing specialty dining on the formal nights. Thanks for the information!
