Bathing suit and snorkeling

Still debating between short sleeve or long sleeve rash guard. Also does anyone know if the carnival excursions have the float vest thing standard?

We have snorkeled on several cruises and use the snorkel vest but we also found we liked to use a swim noodle cut in half for flotation. That way if we wanted to swim underwater we could or use them to keep us floating in one area. They take up little room in the suitcase and we just toss for our trip back home. Added bonus we have built in space for souvenirs!
