Saint John to St. Martins

Recommended Posts

My DH and I will be going to Saint John in late October and we are thinking of renting a car and going to St. Martin. My understanding it is a easy drive to get there. Besides the sea caves and lighthouse, is there quaint shops there or anything like that? Or nearby any other town to visit. Is the Bay of Fundy parkway go to do?

Or should we just book a tour with Freedom Tours?

Undecided.

Last time we went to St Andrews and enjoyed it.

Funny, we're going to St. Andrews this time and we went to St. Martins last time. We rented an Avis car across the street from the pier and drove there. Took about an hour, a detour or two through country roads, and St. Martins was cool as we were there at low tide and just when it started coming back in. Not so good experience trying to cross what was a trickle when it became a brook as the tide came in. Brand new sneakers. Nuff said. And the stones that form the beach are very beautiful. I don't remember towns on the way though. One very good ice cream stand though!

have fun. What did you think of St. Andrews?
