matt082600 Posted August 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Does anyone know if infants sail at a discounted rate?
aqusis Posted August 1, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2011 No infant discount. They pay the same as an adult. If 3rd or 4th person in room, the rate is a bit lower, but it's the same adult or infant.

CCLNCLRCICRUISER Posted August 1, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2011 No rates are by age. They do offer senior 55+ rates that are lower.
happy cruzin Posted August 1, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Ok. Thanks. No one has told you "why".....it is because every person counts toward the capacity of the vessel. So all passengers are counted - and they offer no discount because a passenger is a passenger.

Rare Tapi Posted August 1, 2011 #9 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Others have answered already, but I will add that we've cruised with our infant son twice (he's actually sailing on cruise #3 before he turns 2 in a few months!). Yes, they pay whatever the prevailing rate is, regardless of age, but we've realized that it's more than appropriate. The crew members on both cruises our son has taken so far have done an amazing job at welcoming him and making sure he's well taken care of. Carnival is somewhat limited on their offerings for kids under 2, but the Royal Caribbean cruise was absolutely amazing. Their Royal Babies and Tots program, along with shows, activities, character breakfasts, even a dedicated kids channel, kept our son very entertained during the entire week. Hope you have a wonderful time!
dadof2boys Posted August 2, 2011 #10 Share Posted August 2, 2011 You will have an awesome time. We have cruised with our little guys 3 times as infants and are actually going on our first cruise where they will both be 2 or over in March. We jokingly call it the Golden Cruise. However, we just do beach days at resorts while in port and have a great time. Some ships even have a two hour babysitting time available during the day. (that was on the Paradise)
