Problems booking hotel for 4-2012 Galveston

One thing I found out the other day was that I couldn't book a room at any of my favorite places on the seawall for the end of April 2012. It seems they just don't book out that far.

Very weird to me.

I can't book a room for Feb 11, 2012. What are us cruisers that want a room for one night before our cruise supposed to do? Rooms are available but not for one night.

I booked a hotel in Galveston for April, but I booked through hot wire and end up getting the Tremont. All reviews of this hotel are good.

I agree. I tried and tried using the Galveston website back in June to book a hotel for our 2012 cruise. Then finally figured out to go directly to the hotel website. Bingo! Lol

We use the Holiday website (hotels are on Seawall Blvd)they have April open no problem:)

Thanks for the responses....There are some that post dates/prices and a whole bunch that don't no matter what site you use..i.e. The Best Western Beachfront, and Hilton to name a couple.

I don't know why they don't have them that far out...oh well.:cool:

We heard from some of the smaller hotels we like to stay at that they don't start booking for 2012 till November.

I have to agree with some of the previous posters. I booked my hotel over 2 months ago...we booked directly with the hotel.
