planning on staying 3 nights based in anchorage may 14-17, 2012--looking at super 8 on minnesota is this a safe area, staying mainly due to cost

We just returned from Anchorage. Because of the costs, we chose B&B. Absolutely loved them. Stayed in 2. Moose Gardens and Summerset.

A little out of town but close to Kincaid Park. Lots of moose around.

I've stayed at the Super 8, no problem, but not in a convenient area. I also would suggest you figure out what is going to occupy your time in Anchorage for 3 days.

You would also have the opportunity for some excellent touring elsewhere, if you choose to take advantage of your time. I wouldn't be spending 3 days in Anchorage, which is a "city", if you had other interests in "Alaska".

How did you like Moose Gardens. We will be staying there in Sept.
